I never cease to be awed by the wonderful ways God opens doors for ministry. Often I am afraid that we fail to recognize the ways God is working around us. We tend to think that all the bleakness of society is an indication that evil is triumphing over good — that Satan is winning the battles of daily living. While theologically I know that God is in complete control of all things, I too readily throw up my hands in despair and forget to remember that God is always at work around me.

Such was certainly the case on a recent trip to D.C. With all my frustrations with what I thought I knew about things in our nation’s capital, little did I know of the wonderful ways God is working there!

It was my absolute honor to meet with the people and staff of “Faith and Action” — a ministry that is stealthily touching the lives of some of the most influential people of the world.

Their office is situated across the street from the Supreme Court building and often Justices and staff members stroll along this street and walk right in front of their office which has, as a constant reminder, a copy of the Ten Commandments etched in granite. The stone is even situated at an angle so that all who pass by will clearly see it.

Walking through the office I was reminded (by photographs on the walls) that even the most powerful people in the world need Jesus. Even those who hide behind the black robes of the Court are people for whom Jesus died. Those who walk the halls of Congress and other places of influence are not beyond the reaches of the Gospel and I am thankful that God has allowed me to become acquainted with this viable ministry group.

Later this month I will have the opportunity to be with yet another group of influential people as I teach a morning Bible study to some of the best of the business world. Please pray for me as I am in Orlando for this event.

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Cor. 2:9)

Thank you for your continued prayers. Until Jesus returns, I remain

Yours, in the fulfilling of the Great Commission,

Our just finished trip to Ghana was incredible! God did so many wonderful things that space here is certainly insufficient to share it all. However let me affirm that I know that our Heavenly Father is still in the business of drawing people unto Himself.

On several days our team members, after completing our morning assignments in the schools, were placed in a bush taxi for our return ride to our field hotel. On more than one occasion we were able to share the Gospel with the driver who, by the power of the Holy Spirit bowed and prayed for Jesus to take control of his life. On other days, we had great encounters with people that were clearly “divine appointments” that we could have never planned. I hope you will read more about these through my blog at www.roymason.wordpress.com

Perhaps the most humbling thing that God did for us was allow us to have glimpses into what He has been doing through our ministry through the years.

In one school I met a lady who shared with me that I had been to her village some years before and that she had prayed to receive Jesus Christ there. She was in this particular place because of the recent death of her mother. She was waiting for a bush taxi home when she heard me speaking in a village school and she just “happened” to stop by and see what was going on. Her testimony of grace was remarkable and I am thankful that God allowed me to see that our labors have not been in vain.

On another occasion I met a man, whom we had met one year ago. It was on our return to Accra and our traditional stop in the craft market where nearly international travel stops for carvings and other handmade African crafts.

In this crowd of other people I heard someone calling me and when I turned around it was this brother, Hussan — a Muslim whom we had witnessed to on our previous visit last year. (Click here to read about this encounter.) He shared with us all that God has been doing in him since our last encounter. It gave us the opportunity to talk further with the man and our Director, Rev. Dr. Sammy Lartey has already been back to visit with him again. Once again, this was a wonderful reminder that God’s work through our feeble efforts is certainly being blessed.

I hope you will join me in constantly giving praise to God for His marvelous power, provision, and protection. Thank Him for the wonderful ways that He allows us to see a glimpse of what He is doing, but always remember … “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Cor. 2:9)

Until Jesus returns, I remain

Yours, in the fulfilling of the Great Commission,
